Who We Are

The mission of Operation Blessing (OB) is to bring help and hope to a hurting world, empowering people in need through compassionate, Christ-centered relief and development programs. With the support of our generous partners, Operation Blessing provides strategic relief on an ongoing basis through core programs such as disaster relief, medical care, hunger relief, and clean water. Along with our faithful supporters, we put a special emphasis on not only providing physical relief to those in immediate need, but also equipping them to create sustainable solutions to combat poverty. Operation Blessing partners are devoted to being God’s hands and feet in the world.

Operation Blessing was founded on November 14, 1978. In the more than four decades since, Operation Blessing supporters like you have reached millions around the world with live-saving and life-changing aid. Operation Blessing’s mission is to show God’s love by alleviating human suffering with powerful humanitarian aid wherever it’s needed most. Truly, Operation Blessing’s faithful partners have been an incredible blessing to so many in desperate need around the world.

Over the years, your support has enabled Operation Blessing to respond to numerous major disasters like Hurricane Katrina, earthquakes in Haiti and Nepal, the Ebola outbreak in Liberia, the COVID-19 pandemic, and, more recently, hurricanes Ian, Fiona, and Laura along with the historic earthquakes in Turkey and Morocco. Our teams have also provided critical assistance in response to man-made disasters like the wars in Ukraine and Israel. Not only that, Operation Blessing’s Hunger Strike Force has supplied many tons of food to struggling families across the United States.

Statement of Faith

Volunteers pray with Brenda after Imelda in Texas.

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative source of Christian doctrine and precept.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin is lost and powerless to save himself.

We believe that the only hope for man is to believe on Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, Who died to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind, and Who rose from the dead so that by receiving Him as Savior and Lord, man is redeemed by His blood.

We believe that Jesus Christ in person will return to earth in power and glory.

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who have received Christ for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and godly lives.

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all those who through belief in Christ have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the church is worldwide evangelization.
