The consequences of consuming this dirty water are appalling. Manuela’s children suffered from vomiting, stomach aches, and diarrhea, illnesses born of necessity and a lack of options. And if that was not bad enough, they had to make a long trek to get more of this water, all while recovering from what it did to them previously! But you cared enough to help mothers like Manuela.
