The powerful winds and torrential rains of Hurricane Helene left a widespread path of death and destruction, especially in North Carolina. But Operation Blessing is still serving in the Asheville area, as well as the world to bless the brokenhearted. Hurricane Helene
A category 4 hurricane made landfall in Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina in September 2024. High winds and intense flooding claimed the lives of more than 230 people, making it the deadliest hurricane to hit the U.S. since 2017. On top of the fatalities, some economists estimate the infrastructural damage to be as high as $200 billion.
The hurricane caused first responders to scramble to help those trapped inside buildings due to the intense mudslides specifically found in Asheville, N.C. Following natural disasters like this, many find themselves alone and feeling hopeless. Thanks to friends like you, Operation Blessing’s Disaster Relief Team was able to respond on the ground immediately after the event providing critical support like food, clean water, and cleanup supplies to meet urgent needs. Your donations also enabled us to stay long-term to continue to help this community rebuild.
