Service Beyond Sundays Through Operation Blessing Support

VIRGINIA – Life can change in an instant. For Gail, all it took was a fall, an injury … and the formerly self-reliant nursing aide found herself unable to continue in her profession. Living with disability and diabetes, Gail quickly learned what it’s like to be down to your last dollar. Thanks to Operation Blessing support from caring friends like you, she soon found hope again.

Finding Strength After Setbacks

Without a job, she soon discovered that, after paying her bills each month, she had almost nothing left over for the basics. Like hearty, nourishing food.

And that’s where compassionate friends like you came in. Gail was able to enjoy healthy meals again through the food ministry at All Generations Church, an Operation Blessing partner. Their outreach beautifully embodies the pastor’s vision of “service beyond Sundays.”

The fresh produce and meats Gail receives not only help her survive but also give her a sense of purpose and dignity. “I was so happy because last month we got eggs here,” she said. “Operation Blessing has held everything together for all of us.” Ongoing Operation Blessing support makes it possible for families like Gail’s to keep their tables full and hearts encouraged.

Building Community Through Compassion

Recently, thanks to you, All Generations’ food ministry reached 158 people across 57 households in just one month. Many recipients support extended families including grandchildren and adult children—helping all involved realize how the healing power of food can build a closer community.

“This is the epitome of Christianity,” one volunteer affirmed. “This is what Jesus meant.”
