Surviving the Aftermath
In the wake of the storm, many families were left with nothing. Strong winds ripped apart homes, scattering belongings and leaving communities shaken. One grandmother shared how fear gripped her as the storm raged, praying constantly that her family would survive. With power outages and limited resources, even basic needs became difficult. Cooking was nearly impossible. Some families survived on whatever they could find. In one case, all one family had was coffee and rice—just enough to get through the day. These are the harsh realities many faced in the days following the disaster.
Rapid Response and Hot Meals
Because of your compassion, Operation Blessing quickly mobilized a relief team to Saipan. Within days, we partnered with a local church and restaurant to provide 400 hot meals to families in need. The impact was immediate. Long lines for gas and limited transportation meant many couldn’t reach distribution points. So, our team went house to house—ensuring no one was left behind. For many, this was their first warm meal since the storm. One recipient shared how grateful they were, calling it a moment of relief and joy after days of hardship.
