VENEZUELA – Earthquakes in Venezuela seized the world’s attention after its 7.2 magnitude quake was followed by a 7.5 aftershock. The double quakes brought tremendous challenges to families across Venezuela, but in the midst of such difficult circumstances, Operation Blessing is bringing moments of joy and hope to children in Caracas.
On July 19, Venezuela celebrated El Día de Niños, the Day of the Children. Operation Blessing marked the special occasion by hosting a celebration where children could laugh, play, and enjoy a day designed just for them.
A Celebration for Children
Bouncy castles, trampolines, hot dogs, cotton candy, and other activities filled the event with excitement. For children facing the uncertainty of disaster, the celebration offered something precious: a chance to simply be kids.
“We believe strongly in how important the lives of these children are,” one Operation Blessing team member shared.
The event was a reminder that caring for people means more than meeting physical needs. It also means bringing encouragement and showing children that they are not forgotten.

Operation Blessing’s team was honored to serve in Caracas and bring practical care to a nation experiencing disaster.
