COLOMBIA – Right now, families in Colombia are waiting for answers. Some are desperately searching for loved ones beneath the rubble. Others are facing the loss of family members, their homes, and everything they knew following the massive Colombia earthquake.
In Parada, Colombia, a 7.4-magnitude quake struck just days ago, killing hundreds, injuring many more, and damaging thousands of structures. Search-and-rescue teams continue looking for survivors as families wait, hope, and face the difficult days ahead.
But even in the midst of heartbreak, hope can shine through.
Operation Blessing on the Ground Following Colombia Earthquake
Operation Blessing’s Global Disaster Response Team is on the ground, bringing practical help to people facing this crisis. Team member Bob Burke shared that the team arrived with solar lanterns and water purification systems to help meet urgent needs—and they’re identifying additional needs they can help with in the days ahead.
