Responding After Deadly Wildfires Strike Lahaina

Aug 11, 2023

HAWAII – Operation Blessing is responding after deadly wildfires struck Lahaina, Hawaii. The wildfires that have wreaked havoc across the island of Maui left more than 55 people dead.

The flames damaged or destroyed as many as 270 buildings in Lahaina alone. Hawaii Governor Josh Green said, “Without a doubt, it feels like a bomb was dropped on Lahaina.” He claimed there were more than 1,000 structures decimated across the island.

After such a terrible event, disaster victims are desperate for help and hope—and friends like you are there for them through Operation Blessing. Our disaster relief team is connecting with partners in Hawaii and supporting their efforts as they strive to help those in greatest need. We are planning to provide relief supplies soon.
