HAWAII – When severe flooding in Hawaii struck Oahu after a relentless Kona low storm, families were left facing damaged homes, lost belongings, and uncertain days ahead. But because of your compassion, we were able to respond quickly—bringing help for Oahu flooding victims when it was needed most.
For four days, heavy rains overwhelmed the island’s natural drainage systems. Water rushed down from the mountains, flooding low-lying communities like Waialua and parts of Waiʻanae. Many families were displaced overnight. In areas already underserved, the impact was especially dievastating.
Responding with Help for Oahu Flooding
Because of your generosity, we deployed quickly alongside trusted local partners. Working with New Hope Church, North Shore Christian Fellowship, and community leaders, we delivered emergency meal kits and hygiene supplies to those who might otherwise have been overlooked.
With the support of Airlink, critical relief supplies reached the island, allowing us to step in during this urgent window of need. What began as a simple supply mission soon grew into something deeper—an opportunity to stand alongside communities and offer both physical and emotional support. One local partner shared how meaningful your support has been: families expressed overwhelming gratitude, simply saying “thank you” again and again. Your kindness is not just meeting needs—it’s restoring hope.
Community-Led Relief Across Oahu
In the heart of the response, we saw something powerful unfold. Local leaders stepped up in incredible ways. In Waialua, a community hub began coordinating outreach. On the west side, a resident opened her home as an informal distribution center, ensuring neighbors had access to essentials. These grassroots efforts became lifelines.
By working together, we were able to extend flood relief for Oahu into areas that are often hardest to reach. We also heard moving stories from survivors—families navigating loss, yet holding onto faith and resilience. Their strength reminds us why your support matters so much in moments like these.
