VIRGINIA – Life changed in an instant for Summer and her two daughters, Piper and McKenzie. “A year ago, we had a house fire,” Summer shared. “We’re still building ourselves back up.” And still, she struggles to provide food after the fire.
After losing their home, the family was forced to relocate. Rent skyrocketed. Groceries became more expensive. And every month, Summer faced impossible decisions—like whether to pay the electric bill or put a meal on the table.
It broke Summer’s heart.
But hope arrived through the food pantry at Good News Baptist Church in Virginia—a ministry supported by friends like you through Operation Blessing.
You Send Hope After the Fire
Each month, Summer visits the pantry to pick up essential groceries and supplies. This extra help gives her breathing room, allowing her to stretch her limited resources further.
“It helps us save money so we can buy other food for our home,” she said.
Thanks to compassionate partners like you, Summer and her daughters are no longer facing hunger alone. They’re moving forward—one meal, one step at a time—with renewed hope.
“Thank you, guys. Y’all help so many people,” Summer said. “There’s a lot of people that need the help.”
Your Compassion Makes a Difference
Because of you, struggling families across America are receiving the nourishment and encouragement they need to rebuild their lives. Just like Summer and her family received food after the fire.
Thank you for being part of this powerful story of hope.
