VIRGINIA – Life changed in an instant for Summer and her two daughters, Piper and McKenzie. “A year ago, we had a house fire,” Summer shared. “We’re still building ourselves back up.” And still, she struggles to provide food after the fire.
After losing their home, the family was forced to relocate. Rent skyrocketed. Groceries became more expensive. And every month, Summer faced impossible decisions—like whether to pay the electric bill or put a meal on the table.
It broke Summer’s heart.
But hope arrived through the food pantry at Good News Baptist Church in Virginia—a ministry supported by friends like you through Operation Blessing.

Each month, Summer visits the pantry to pick up essential groceries and supplies. This extra help gives her breathing room, allowing her to stretch her limited resources further.
“It helps us save money so we can buy other food for our home,” she said.
