TEXAS – One ordinary night became a fight for survival for Texas Hill Country flood victims Robert and his family.
When floodwaters rushed into their home, the water rose from inches to chest deep in a matter of minutes. With no way to escape, Robert and his family climbed into their attic, prayed together, and waited through the darkness. But they remained uncertain if they would make it safely to morning.
Eventually, emergency crews reached them by boat. But surviving the flood was only the beginning.
Like so many disaster survivors, Robert and his family were left facing overwhelming loss and the difficult work of moving forward. In moments like these, practical help matters. But so does knowing that someone cares enough to show up for hurting people like the Texas Hill Country flood victims.

“Without you all, it makes it 10 times harder for things to get done,” he said. “So yes, you’re absolutely 100 million percent needed in this world. And thank God for you.”
