Mark McClendon
Regional Head for Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, and Indonesia
Mark McClendon serves as the regional director of Operation Blessing in southeast Asia.
Mark is a media strategist with a Bachelor’s in communication arts and business from Oral Roberts University. He is an evangelist who found his calling on a missions trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand, in 1985. In the midst of Indonesia’s violent transition to democracy in 1998, he was given the opportunity to establish the ministry of the Christian Broadcasting Network in Indonesia. He also pioneered Operation Blessing Indonesia (Obor Berkat Indonesia. As the humanitarian arm of CBN Indonesia, Obor Berkat Indonesia does extensive disaster relief work, medical outreach, community development efforts, education, and scholarship programs throughout Indonesia. It was awarded the prestigious Satya Lencena Medal of Honor by Indonesia’s president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for its disaster relief work in the wake of the Asian Tsunami in Aceh in 2005.
Under Mark’s capable leadership, he also supervises the humanitarian ministries of Operation Blessing in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and South Korea.
Mark resides in Jakarta with his wife and their three children.
