VENEZUELA- The devastation left behind by Venezuela’s powerful twin earthquakes continues to grow more heartbreaking with each passing day. Five days after the 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude quakes struck central and northern Venezuela, search teams are still combing through collapsed buildings as hope of finding additional survivors begins to fade. Another aftershock has only added to the uncertainty facing families who have already lost so much.
Officials report that more than 3,300 people have died and over 10,000 people have been forced from their homes. Tens of thousands of buildings have been damaged or destroyed, leaving entire communities struggling to meet even their most basic needs.

Responding to Urgent Needs
As survivors begin the difficult journey toward recovery, Operation Blessing is expanding relief efforts to serve families whose lives have been turned upside down.
Our team has established a base of operations in Caracas while building the supply lines and local partnerships needed to sustain relief efforts in the days ahead. With roads, infrastructure, and resources stretched thin, these early preparations are helping ensure aid can continue reaching those who need it most.
Already, Operation Blessing has completed its first major distribution in several earthquake-affected communities, providing 1,220 freshly prepared sandwiches, bottled water, and 200 solar lamps to families facing long days—and even longer nights—without reliable electricity.

Building for the Days Ahead
Relief work is continuing to grow every day.
At our base of operations, teams have been transforming kitchen facilities into a fully functioning meal production center by completing plumbing, gas, and refrigeration repairs. A new water filtration system has also been installed, allowing the team to safely prepare meals while exploring additional ways to provide clean water throughout affected communities.

As part of this growing response, Operation Blessing has established a Help & Hope Café in Caracas, where freshly prepared meals are being served to families who have been left homeless by the earthquakes. The café is becoming a place where people can find not only nourishing food, but also compassion and encouragement during one of the darkest moments of their lives. Our goal is to provide 10,000 meals to earthquake survivors as we continue expanding this critical outreach to families in desperate need of food.
Operation Blessing is also working alongside local churches and trusted ministry partners whose volunteers have become an essential part of the response. Together, they are helping deliver practical aid while identifying communities with the greatest needs.

Hope for the Road Ahead
For many families, recovery will not happen overnight. The loss of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods has left communities facing an uncertain future.
But even in the midst of overwhelming devastation, hope is beginning to take shape.
With every meal served, every bottle of water distributed, and every new partnership formed, Operation Blessing is helping meet urgent needs today while preparing to serve even more families in the weeks ahead. As relief efforts continue to expand across Venezuela, our team remains committed to bringing practical assistance, compassionate care, and lasting hope to those rebuilding their lives after disaster.
