Diego Traverso is the Senior Director of Global Disaster Response at Operation Blessing, leading relief efforts across the U.S. and beyond. Born in Chile, Diego’s curiosity carried him to more than 60 countries to serve the poor, the widow, and the orphan. 

Since the 2014 Nepal earthquake, Diego has stood at the forefront of Operation Blessing’s disaster responses, guiding aid during disasters like the 2023 Turkey earthquake (7.8 magnitude), Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, and the 2023 Morocco earthquake (6.8 magnitude). From 2016 to 2019, as National Director of International Disaster Relief, Diego partnered with local organizations in Israel, providing food, medical care, and companionship to survivors of war. He also extended Operation Blessing’s reach to persecuted Christians in Iraq, Syria, and Jordan, delivering relief to communities displaced by conflict. In 2025, he spearheaded wildfire relief in Los Angeles. 

Also a filmmaker, Diego has produced documentaries such as Volviendo and Fear Us Women to amplify the voices of those he serves. Rooted in compassion and conviction, Diego connects deeply with people, offering hope and reminding them they are not forgotten.
