What is accidental disinheritance?
The “wrong” persons end up receiving property. This can occur if you either have no will or the will doesn’t function properly such as when it is outdated. Creating a good estate plan protects your loved ones and avoids this issue.
How do I join the Lasting Legacy Society?
You are invited to join when you remember Operation Blessing and Orphan’s Promise in your estate plan (will or trust) or with a beneficiary designation (retirement plan, life insurance policy or other POD or TOD account). If you have included Operation Blessing or Orphan’s Promise in your planning, please request, complete, and return the Notification of Bequest Intent form to Operation Blessing Planned Giving. This will allow us to acknowledge your generosity and include you as a member in our Lasting Legacy Society.
